Experienced foundation plans and details, residential and commercial.

Commercial & Residential Structural Assessments:
Engineering services are typically provided in two phases. The first phase includes inspection of exterior and interior architectural surfaces for cosmetic discrepancies attributable to movement of the supporting foundation. This service normally consists of a visual, non-destructive investigation for evidence, such as cracking, and separations on wall, floor, and ceiling surfaces, with measurement and recording of relative interior floor elevations. The elevation survey is typically referenced to a “bench mark” elevation that will be established nearby. An Engineer’s written inspection report is provided with comments, conclusions and any necessary recommendations for repair/adjustment. The report typically includes a “budget type” amount for recommended work. The owner then has an opportunity to establish priorities for any or all of the identified corrections to be made.
The second phase of engineering services will utilize previously acquired field data from phase one to develop plans and specifications for obtaining uniform bids from contractors, provide on-site monitoring of the selected contractor’s work and ultimately provide a written Engineer’s Completion Report that will be valuable documentation to the homeowner.
The in-progress inspection during foundation re-elevation and repair is provided to ensure compliance with plans and specifications and applicable codes, as set forth by the governing authorities of jurisdiction.
An additional service for post-construction
foundation assessment is also available upon
request. This service will typically address the
presence and integrity of the concrete and
reinforcing steel.
Wood Framing Designs:
Custom Wood Framing Designs can be provided to accomodate complicated roof configurations and loading conditions.

Framing designs can be achieved with standard dimensional lumber or manufactured composite beams and/or trusses.
